Shelter
The Appalachian Trail joins the Stony Creek Railroad trail 14.1 miles
from the West Gate. To reach the Rausch Gap Shelter, known as the "Halfway
Hilton", travel north on the Appalachian Trail about a half mile, then
follow the sign that says Shelter 0.3 miles.
